Lacing System

Vans Boa® Coiler – This tongue-mounted single reel system utilizes a spring-loaded lace spool to automatically retract lace cable slack for quick and efficient closure. Different lace guide radii help optimize closure force in specific areas of the boot.

V1 Footbed – Vans' single-density UltraCush™ foam has proven its superior dampening capabilities--the same reliable technology found in Vans footwear brings comfort and function prowess to the V1 footbed.

Single-Density UltraCush™ Lite Construction – UltraCush Lite is a custom version of foam developed specifically for improving comfort and reducing weight. UltraCush Lite is used in a variety of constructions and applications, ranging from outsoles and midsoles to footbeds and liners.

Additional Features

Heat Retention – To keep the warmth in and the cold out, all Vans boots come equipped with a thermal heat retention layer between the outsole and the liner. This layer reflects cold away from the foot and helps hold heat within the boot, keeping you nice and toasty.

Typical beginner skis and snowboards are usually built with softer materials, narrower widths, and feature cap construction for an easy to turn, forgiving ride.   SoftThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
